First hike of the New Year, 2013. Paul and I woke up early, drank our coffee and tea--and headed to the Clark Trail. We started hiking at 9:06. It was 21 degrees and overcast. It took us 2 hours and 13 minutes to hike the 5.3 miles in the snow. Parts of the trail were icy. No deer sightings, but a fair amount of people, including some intense trail runners who did the 8 miles in less time than we walked five.
