All this time, all these years, and I never really remembered to hike Howell Island. So, one sunny, reasonably unseasonably warm day at the end of February, I decide to give it a whirl, but the river gauge was above 16 feet, which makes the causeway impassable. Oh well. The morning had been full of petulance about convincing Paul to go along. Thankfully, I wasn't successful in my endeavor to persuade him because he would have been quite irritated had he come along and found that there would be no hiking. Instead, I met up with him at his Mom's and went for an old school, device-less Webster Walk.
