There were some others on the trail, of course. Some high school Cross Country runners, insanely energetic and young, bouncing off rocks and roots--and a young woman with a back pack who was breaking in her boots in preparation for hiking the Pacific Crest Trail this April.

Lewis and Clark Trail, late December
Incredible hike a few days before Christmas. The weather--70 degrees--the abnormal becomes the new normal and tired of feeling anxious about everything from climate change to health, I left the dentist feeling better than I had in months. After some quick Christmas shopping stops, I drove to the Lewis and Clark Trail and hiked the 5.3 mile trail. Obviously, from looking at this blog, one can tell that it's my most hiked trail because of the convenient location. This is the second photo ever that I took on my new Samsung Galaxy phone. The clouds had broken, revealing the sun.
